On December 12, my post on this blog mentioned the resurrected possibility (by an anonymous caller) that the killer of Stacey Burns was a woman. It also mentioned that the investigation was not at a standstill; in fact, it is an active investigation as evidenced by the fact that this anonymous caller had spoken with the police just over three months ago.
The point of that post was to ask if either of these possibilities could be corroborated by anyone else who is following this case. Thus far, and not surprisingly, I have heard nothing. Perhaps the revelation that the police are continuing to actively work on this case would jeopardize their strategy to flush out this killer. One can only hope that is what is happening. A top-secret, in-depth, on-going investigation would be wonderful. An arrest, or even some indication of progress, would define a happy new year for many people, especially family and friends of Stacey Burns.
By the way, so far I’ve received no answer to my inquiry of Governor Hassan’s office regarding progress on the case but it has only been three weeks since that inquiry was sent. Will keep you informed!

I am glad to admit that I was totally wrong, stupid, and ….wrong and stupid. N. H. AG’S office was, is and was and is brilliant!! Seriously. The way they handled the kidnaping in Conway was and is how it’s done, period. And their efforts may have saved a life. Of course they are in a “top secret, in depth investigation”. It’s going to happen. They (our ag’s) strategy of saying nothing and appearing to be doing nothing really works. In the end the kidnaper may have thought he could just take his victim home and no one would notice. He solved the case for them. Stacey’s case is somehow solving it’s self. About the woman killer thing; Ya, I know what your talking about, and I can guess who your anonymous is. It’s been 6 years, can you handle the truth ? Should I name names ? when I say “the truth” I mean the “real” rumors, the rumors that have stood the test of time. Stacey went to dinner with Brian Stanford 2 weeks before her murder. He had an x girlfriend, Clora Lark, that was rumored to have faked cancer, assaulted other women and told Stacey in her kitchen that she would kill her. This girl was rumored to have hopped a plane to Europe the next day too ! She didn’t have a scratch on her face though. I asked Roland about her at the 6 week point and he smiled pretty big about it. 100% sure
