In the July 16th blog, I named three people I would be contacting and asking for fifteen minutes of their time when I return to New Hampshire in September. My hope was that these three could verify and/or corroborate a few details in the Stacey Burns murder case book. Two of the three have responded thus far. Neither of these two are able or willing to give me the fifteen minutes for reasons which are plausible and realistic. One cites the lawyer/client confidentiality which continues to the grave and the other is “not in a position to confirm or deny anything nor can (he) comment on any aspect of the investigation.”  Further, the case, as everyone is aware, is under the auspices of the Attorney General’s Office. So, in baseball parlance, I am 0 for 2 but still hoping the third person might agree to the fifteen minutes, hopefully raising my average to .333. In the meantime, I look forward to giving my “Adventures of a True Crime Neophyte” program in Melvin Village in September. That program will allow people a chance to hear first hand why I undertook this project and what process I’ve been using to ferret out the information necessary for a fair treatment of this subject.
