Last Thursday, the editor of the local newspaper interviewed me for a possible story about my work on the Stacey Burns “murder book.”  Earlier in the morning, he had called the New Hampshire State Police and, with no apparent difficulty, was able to speak with the detective who is currently working the case.  I mention this only because, as my previous blogs have indicated, my success rate in getting through to authorities is quite low. (an understatement!) He told me that the detective was forthcoming in providing information, a statement which I found surprising.

The article, originally discussed back in January, was to focus on the process of my attempt at writing a true crime genre book instead of fiction or memoir. When (and if) the article finds it way into print, it will be interesting to see how a professional journalist handles the information he gleaned from his conversation with the cold case detective.

Will keep you posted, so to speak!
