Today, I am off to Wheatmark to make a decision on the level of editing needed for the new edition of A Favor Returned. This adventure into the revision process for a book that was published originally in May of 2000 has been quite a humbling experience. Details of this exercise in humility will be forthcoming in future blogs but suffice it to say that the use of passive voice can ruin the flow of an action scene very quickly!
The last blog had a photo of the wrecked race car after the accident which inspired A Favor Returned. Here is a photo of the race car before the accident. Notice the white fence in the background, then remember it when you read the book. The bottom photo shows #21 upside down after the crash.
