Tomorrow will be a sad day for so many people whose lives were touched by Stacey Burns. This post will contain none of the usual efforts to spur someone to action as readers have come to expect. There will be no sarcasm, cajoling, or begging. It will be brief.

To Stacey Keane Burns, I simply offer my fervent prayer that you are at peace. To her family, who have suffered so much, I offer a prayer of respect and of dignity and ask that you be granted some measure of peace as well. To her friends and acquaintances and professional colleagues, I offer a prayer asking for understanding of the “why?” of this terrible loss.

There is nothing more to say. Anything more would sink into the oblivion of meaningless clichés and the memory of Stacey deserves more than that.
