I wanted to share this commentary from Writer’s Digest with my readers/followers on this blog as it make me pretty proud of my latest novel, Cracks in the Wall.

“Cracks in the Wall presents with a dramatic cover art design. . . . No issues with the over-all production quality—well done. As I stated this entry, something seemed familiar. I do believe I may have read and perhaps judged another book with the character Parker Havenot. I say this because I love the character. This author has an excellent mystery writing voice and style that captures the reader, tugs at the intrigue of our hearts and minds and spins a web if entertainment that doesn’t let go until the very end. Consider me a true fan of Detective Havenot. In this book, we on the path to find Linda’s killer and I was not disappointed in how it all played out. With this clever plot line, this book was easily one of my faves. No major pacing issues. A nice mix of narrative prose and dialogue. The book was a stellar entry. Again, it was difficult to find criticism in the technical editing aspect as well. If I had to pick something there it would be to (1) drop the exclamation points throughout and (2) keep an eye on misused dialogue tags. Otherwise, this was a great find and I wish you the best of luck with it.”   (Judge, 25th Annual Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards)

The book received “outstanding” ratings in four of the six standard categories of writing criteria and “very good” in the other two. So, if you haven’t yet read Cracks in the Wall, I am hoping that this might encourage you to do so.

Sorry about the self=promotion . . .
